* Oversee a classroom of school aged children

* Prepare Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) and progress reports

* Meet with parents as necessary and involve them in their child’s activities and progress

* Provide direction to teacher assistants, 1:1’s, or substitutes in your classroom

Qualifications:

* NYS Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities 1-6 or NYS Permanent Special Education Certification required

* Masters degree strongly preferred

* Seeking candidates with 2 years experience with elementary school aged children with special needs

Overview

The Broome Street Academy Charter High School will prepare our young people for post-secondary success that leads to positive life outcomes. Teach five classes a day

EARLY CHILDHOOD POSITION

Director of Universal Pre-K program

Program, located at Avenue P and East 18th Street in Brooklyn, is seeking an experienced early childhood educator with school leadership certification.

The Director will be responsible for the administration and supervision of a 3 classroom operation.

It is expected that the salary for this position will be $65,000 per annum.
